The Company
Our Mission
Salvage the Past to Build the Future
We are on a mission to salvage millions of tons of wood waste from construction and demolition by robotically reclaiming it for reuse as locally sourced, premium lumber products.
Meet Our Founders
Solving Wood Waste Through AI and Robotics
Urban Machine’s founders share a vision to tackle the issue of wood waste. Eric Law’s passion for sustainability led him to seek alternatives to landfill disposal. Andrew Gillies, recognizing the potential of robotics, developed a prototype to automate metal fastener removal. Alex Thiele complemented the team by creating our AI- powered software, paving the way for an automated machine.
Where We’re Headed
Sustainably Reclaiming Wood Throughout North America
Urban Machine’s robot is mobile and sustainable! By deploying robots at resource facilities and job sites across North America, we aim to reclaim 50% of 37 million tons of wood waste — ensuring that valuable resources avoid landfills.
